Supply Chain Purchasing Administrator
Shoreham by Sea
£21000 - £25000 depending on shipping knowledge/suitability
Mon-Fri 9-5.30
Hunters’ client is a fast growing and hugely successful creative design and manufacturing company requiring an experienced Supply Chain Purchasing Administrator to manage the purchasing for standard and customer specific items.
Responsibilities
- Manage supplier and customer relationships, ordering process and negotiation.
- Assist in the forecasting as appropriate.
- Generate weekly reports (including but not limited to: Stock Maintenance; Currency Forecast), and provide one off reports as required.
- Monthly reports as required to the Head of Purchasing & QA.
- Ensure that the New Product Development process is adhered to, provide input into critical paths for both internal and customer launches
- Ensure that the inventory is managed for those lines falling under their responsibility, both through the procurement process and the discontinuation process.
- Liaise with the Shipping Coordinator as necessary to prioritise and maximise cost effective shipments and consolidations.
- Liaise with the QA Manager as required to report on delivery issues.
- Participate in the forecasting / Majors meetings to ensure timely delivery of standard stock and customer orders.
- Ensure that the artwork process is adhered to, progress and approve artworks with customers and suppliers as required, update the artwork register as required.
Competencies Required
- Self management skills (including time management & prioritisation).
- Knowledge of Purchasing processes.
- IT skills, Navision, Office (Excel to medium / high standard), Email and Internet
- Knowledge of Import/Export shipping and documentation an advantage
- Hands on and flexible attitude.
- Attention to detail.
- Health & Safety conscious.
Qualifications and Experience
- A qualification and/or some experience in a Purchasing or Supply Chain role.
