Buyer

Salary up to £28,000 depending on experience

The role is commutable from: Birmingham, Coventry, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Tamworth, central Birmingham

The role

  • Supporting the category manager and the team throughout the sourcing process
  • Assisting with pricing negotiations and re-negotiation of contractual terms
  • Assisting with bids and tenders
  • Facilitating finalisations on contract documentation
  • Internal stakeholder management

To be successful you will need

  • Previous experience working in a procurement/purchasing role, where you have been involved in at least 1 tender and pricing negotiations, this opportunity would be ideal for a assistant buyer or junior buyer who has a real enthusiasm to progress their career in the public sector area
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills along with the drive to succeed are also key
