Fulfilment and Warehouse Manager

Sussex

Salary range is £40,000 - £45,000

Permanent: Monday to Friday Full Time

Hunters’ client is large creative company trading with the Far East. The Fulfilment and Warehouse Manager will operate out of Sussex but will travel on occasion to our client’s other warehouse sites across the UK. The Fulfilment and Warehouse Manager will be a robust character with experience of managing warehouse operation. The Fulfilment and Warehouse Manager will offer strong management and people management skills and will manage and develop all aspects of the workflow & operational functions in relation to stock flow, people, processes and practices to deliver business objectives, targets, KPI’s and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

People Management

  • Schedule staff workloads and delegation of tasks.
  • Manpower resource in place with appropriate skills to meet business demands
  • People development - identify skills gaps and address to ensure the team have the ability to deliver business goals and agreed KPIs in accordance with Company processes & legal compliance.
  • Performance management - conducting appraisals, setting objectives, staff motivation, development plans, absence management including holiday planning, managing performance and conduct issues.
  • Communicate and build relationship with key support suppliers to meet the business service levels and costs targets.

Fulfillment Activities

  • To plan and manage fulfilment service operational requirement meeting customer and business service target levels.
  • Manage and coordinate integration and maintenance of customer systems with IT system.
  • Meet and develop relationship with customers/ account manager to meet customer current and future requirements.

Warehouse and Distribution Activities

  • Management of the business stock inventory ensuring all is kept in a secure and safe environment.
  • Management of all Shoreham DC activities to despatch inventory to customer order specification.
  • Supplier management includes servicing requirements for building maintenance, pricing and meeting company set targets.

Health & Safety

  • Development and maintenance of the Safety Management System, to include working with the H&S Manager which includes Risk Assessments, manage weekly safety checks, racking checks by SEMA trained operatives at least once a month.
  • Ensure and demonstrate controls in place to maintain all personnel have appropriate training or certification to operate MHE within warehouse operation

Administration & Resource Planning

  • Manage daily Production and load schedules to meet business requirements include manpower resource.
  • Work with supply chain to plan / execute product reworks schedules.
  • Report any incidents affecting warehouse operation.
  • Manage /review daily operational reports primarily for booking and invoicing purposes.

Stock Management

  • Plan and facilitate annual Company stock take.
  • Manage internal WMS to optimise physical pick efficiencies and site storage capacity.
  • Responsibility for the Perpetual Inventory process to manage stock records and ensure minimal stock shrinkage.
