REED Procurement and Supply Chain are working closely with a well-established manufacturer in Newcastle to recruit a Buyer on a 6 month contract basis due to increased workload.

The full-time equivalent salary on offer is £28,000 per annum and the working hours are Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00.

My client are looking to offer an ASAP start w/c Monday 13th May so you will need to be immediately available with no notice period.

Job Duties:

Manage the supplier base for all materials and provide purchasing service to meet demands
Negotiation and sourcing activities
Supplier visits
Reduce purchasing transactional costs through utilising the SAP system
Carry out projects as and when required

Person Specification:

Manufacturing and/or Engineering Buying experience is desirable
Must be available to start work immediately
Relevant Purchasing experience
Full driving license
