Logistics 3PL Specialist

I am actively looking to engage a Logistics 3PL Specialist across the Alfreton area for an exciting new opportunity with a Global manufacturing distributor.

My client is a global, world-leading, manufacturing distributor with headquarters in both New York and Munich. The business focuses upon connecting both suppliers and customers within the manufacturing sector, whilst shipping products worldwide through a range of 3PL providers.

Description

As a Logistics 3PL Specialist you will be based within a Head Office function at Alfreton and be required to conduct the following duties:

• The project management of orders within our 3PL logistics network. This will involve liaising with supply partner that are both localised and centrally based.
• Ensuring KPI's are actively recorded surrounding 3PL providers service levels (i.e. flow, order preparation and OTIF deliveries, along with costs).
• Stock Reporting - you will be required to visit our 3PL providers to conduct regular stock takes of our products and provide adjustments on our systems.
• Import & Export Management - liaising directly with 3PL providers to book, receipt and provide notification of delivery transactions to our customers.
• Other logistics support as and when required by management.

Profile

The successful Logistics 3PL Specialist will report, on a daily basis, into the UK Commercial Logistics Manager and indirectly into European Head Office in Munich. You will also fulfil the following criteria:

• 2+ years experience within planning across multiple 3PL logistics providers.
• SAP experience is desirable.
• Experience with logistics planning and inventory management is a must.
• Experience with both Import and Export order management across supply and 3PL partners.
• Stock and inventory management experience is also highly regard.
• Ideally degree educated - BA / BSc / BEng / HND.
• Strong positive attitude and approach to work.
• Commutable to the Alfreton area.
