Assistant Contracts Manager - £Neg + Package - Civils & Utilities Contractor
About the Client
A long established underground mains installation company, handling small works packages from £25k to major projects in excess of £1M, due to continual growth we are looking to appoint an assistant contracts manager to strengthen our team. Awell respected name within the underground mains arena, some of our key clients include MOJ, MOD, Kier, Laing O'Rorke, Galiford Try, with recent projects being Man TP, Man City FC, Worthy Downs Barracks, Wrexham Prison, Christie's Hospital, Gatwick Airport.
About theRole:
Working alongside our experienced contracts managers and commercial team on contracts from tender to completion, your role will include:
Estimation, procurement and programming
Production of method statements and risk assessments
Production of technical submissions
Updating clients with progress
Keeping commercial team upto date with any potential problems on site
Maintaining training records for operatives
Assessing hired equipment and plant on a weekly basis
Deliver toolbox talks
Ensure O&M manuals are delivered in a timely manner
JobRequirements:
Driving License ( clean )
CSCS Card
EUSR Gas SHEA
EUSR Water SHEA
Gas Safe ( desirable)
Experience with Calpex, Rehau, Ductile Iron products and installations would be desirable
SMSTS ( desirable )
Computer literate is essential
Ability to understand and read drawings
