An opportunity to lead the strategic procurement of all materials (valves, pumps, machinery, tanks, capital machinery....). The role requires a procurement leader who has experience managing a global team of buyers, making key savings and setting the procurement strategy.

A global leader in the oil and gas industry. They have revenues in excess of $30 Billion, a global footprint of nearly 50 office locations, within customers in over 200 countries and territories.
Description
The role will be responsible for overseeing strategic procurement for all products, materials and services for a large segment of the business' overall spend. This includes UK, Europe, Middle East, Latin America, Canada and Australia, covering over 70 locations globally and 5 Marine Terminals in the UK. The role will be responsible for 5 Direct Reports and 2 Indirect Reports.
Categories of spend include; Valves, Machines, Vehicles, Tanks, Equipment, Logistics, Civil Works, Electrical & Instrumentation Works, Mechanical Works, Repair & Maintenance, Testing, Spare Parts, Consumables and Uniforms & PPE etc.
Profile
Ideal Experience;
- Understanding of high levels of global spend in excess of $100m
- Managing a global team
- 10 + years of experience in the oil & gas or manufacturing industry.
- Degree and CIPS educated
- The successful candidate is likely to have in excess of procurement experience in a similar operational environment (preferably Oil and Gas, Manufacturing or Marine industry).
- Extensive knowledge of all supply chain management (e.g. procurement, subcontracting, expediting, logistics and material control) is essential
