CONTRACTS MANAGER - PERMANENT - REGIONAL MAIN CONTRACTOR
£55,000 - £65,000 + package
Farnborough/M4 Corridor
An exciting permanent opportunity for an experienced construction Contracts Manager to work for a fast-growing regional Main Contractor with a strong pipeline of projects across the M4 corridor.
The Company
Our client is a fast growing and long-established top-tier main contractor based in Bristol. Operating across building sectors including Commercial, Education and Data Centres on both New build and refurbishment projects. With a loyal and robust client base, the company has already secured a significant pipeline of work across the M4 Corridor and South West for 2019. Typical projects are between £3Million - £15Million in value.
The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for:
Managing 1-3 projects at one time, ensuring the work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality by effectively organising and managing the site activities
Support the business in building and operating a team to achieve company objectives by assisting the Senior Management team.
Manage and support site-based Managers who will drive the day to day aspects of the site
Identify the need for Risk Assessments / Safe Systems of work and implement in your area
Project Planning
Manage and implement H&S procedures
Client and sub-contractor management
Attendance, preparation and reporting for meetings in relation to the project as project lead
To have a clear understanding of the way the job is priced to enable us to take full benefit of any opportunities for variations, change is specification or scope of works to maximise profit.
The Person
The successful candidate will likely have;
Experience as Contracts Manager working for a Regional or National Main Contractor on new build projects
Experience managing projects from the ground up including Civils works and Demolition
Exposure to steel frame construction, cladding and single ply roof is beneficial
A steady permanent background and a demonstrable track record in delivering Construction projects more than £7 Million in value within non-residential sectors.
SMSTS, CSCS and 1st Aid qualifications
Commutable within the M4 corridor with visits to the Bristol office (may vary depending on project location)
