An exciting opportunity as an Assistant Buyer to join a Menswear team for a leading retailer in Yorkshire.
Your new company
You will be working for an established retailer in Yorkshire with a great reputation in the industry. They are a market leader within the industry who are looking for an Assistant Buyer to join the team. The company is based within West Yorkshire and boasts a modern head office with a great reputation in the industry.
Your new role
Your new role will be to develop the product range which satisfies customer requirements and delivers the core values and attributes of the brand. You will be working alongside and reporting into the Head of Buying to select the product range to maximise sales opportunities and exceeds customer needs. You will be assisting in range building and product selection, developing close relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate samples are produced. You will be reviewing the market place and latest trends, pulling in together samples and colour swatches from potential suppliers and regarding price product of trends. There will also be the opportunity to assist with seasonal photo shoots in studio and on location from model castings/fittings through to on set styling.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will need experience in branded/own label market and proven experience of working within a buying team in a fashion environment. You will need to have a good understanding and working knowledge of the buying processes and demonstrate understanding of different customer types and end-use of offer.
