Job Title: Buyer
Salary: circa £35,000-£40,000 per annum
Location: Northamptonshire
Our client is a market leader within the FMCG world supplying an impressive portfolio of specialist products into many different consumer channels.
Due to a period of growth our client is seeking a driven and experienced Buyer to strengthen their procurement and commercial teams.
Reporting into the Procurement Director this role will be tasked with the planning, organisation and direction of each element of their diverse raw product portfolio, packaging and indirect purchasing.
It is essential that you have had previous Buying experience within the FMCG industry, can demonstrate a successful track record of category growth and development and display a professional but personable approach to your work.
Ideally the candidate will be educated to degree level, but more importantly must be highly numerate, with excellent negotiation & communication skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with overseas suppliers.
It is taken that the candidate must be organised and IT literate in Windows, Excel and PowerPoint. They must be able to demonstrate effective product sourcing experience and high levels of commercial awareness including being aware of any market trends.
