I currently have a fantastic opportunity for a career driven manufacturing Buyer to join a successful engineering business as part of their highly skilled procurement team.
My client is known as a world leading engineering organisation, providing advanced mechanical and electrical engineered solutions into the marine, nuclear and aerospace industries. Delivering bespoke end to end service for their customers, from design, manufacture and installation.
The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, and the ability to identify cost down opportunities.
You will be confident in communicating at all levels and willing to deal with end to end purchasing, including administrative tasks.
The role will work closely with a portfolio of supplier, ensuring quality, cost and lead times are in line with business objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
-Purchasing materials
-Sourcing globally, ensuring the best market value
-Managing a portfolio of suppliers, building collaborative working relationships
-Working closely with engineering and production to ensure materials and parts are correctly sourced in line with technical specifications
-Ensuring stock availability whilst maintaining safety stock levels
-Negotiating costs and SLA's in line with business requirements
Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:
-Ideally CIPS qualified
-Minimum 3 years Procurement experience, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environments
-Ability to negotiate and agree contractual terms
-Excellent supplier management skills
