Salary: £40,000 plus performance bonus

Purpose of role:

Full operational responsibility for the management and performance of resources, processes and service to ISO standards and within budget, KPI and contract terms.
Plan, manage and implement schedules to ensure deadlines are met and a high quality standard of product, service and delivery is maintained.

As a member of the SMT, lead continuous improvement of processes and service performance including identifying and setting targets/KPIs for business improvement.
Ensure performance aligns to the strategic goals of the business.Deputise for the Managing Director.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Business Operations Manager or in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of operations management theory and practice
  • Excellent IT knowledge and skills
  • The ability to interpret financial data and allocate budgets
  • Production and Planning skills
  • Understanding of Stock Management systems
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Highly organised and self-motivated
  • Experience in negotiating and commercially astute
  • Ability to engage and motivate others
  • Drive to achieve results

Accountability and functions:

  • Ensure all processes and operations function efficiently and align with quality standards
  • Maximise the efficiency of all business and service procedures
  • Establish relevant KPIs and monitor and report performance against targets
  • Monitor daily operations and address potential risks and issues when they arise
  • Define processes that meet business objectives and ensure compliance to ISO standards
  • Monitor key financial data and recommend solutions that will improve profitability
  • Responsible for the planning and management of daily operations
  • Plan, schedule and review workload and resource to ensure targets are met on a cost- effective basis
  • Manage stock and ensure that inventory records are accurate
  • Ensure that quality (ISO) and health and safety regulations are maintained
  • Provide guidance to team members and manage the growth and success of the teamP

Performance Measures:

  • Achieve weekly and monthly KPIs
  • ISO certification maintained
