UniCarriers have an exciting opportunity for a Parts Inventory Controller to join our team based in Thame, Oxfordshire, The successful candidate will receive a competitive annual salary between £27,000 and £32,000 depending on experience + profit related annual bonus scheme.

Monday to Friday contract 8am to 5pm with 1-hour unpaid break, 40 hours per week.

Our Parts team is a proactive department responsible for identifying, sourcing & progressing parts for engineers, dealers and customers for a wide range of fork truck manufactures.

The Parts Inventory Controller will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient management of parts stock holding for the UK market. Duties will include:

  • Forecasting inventory requirements to meet the market demand.
  • Raise and place purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Ensure stock held is accurate.
  • Review of orders to ensure they will not result in under / overstocks.
  • Identify stocking issues.
  • Prepare, report and communicate forecasting and inventory KPIs.
  • Manage inventory targets.
  • Continuously monitor suppliers to ensure the profitability is maximised.
  • Monitoring of product lead time to ensure delivery expectations are met.

     

This role requires a meticulous individual who is organised, has high attention to detail and excellent time management skills. You will have an understanding of stock control and will enjoy working with numbers.

We are looking for someone with experience in:

  • Inventory control
  • Using inventory management software
  • Working in the supply chain
  • Generating purchase orders

An engineering or mechanical interest or background will help to support your understanding of the demands of the industry.
