Bid Manager

About the role

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Bid Manager

Your will be responsible for developing and delivering the bid management plan with primary responsibility for bid governance, compliance and the management of proposals and associated reviews. Lead a cross-functional team to ensure bid team is aware of the level of contribution expected and ensure all timelines are met. Acts as a single point of contact to provide co-ordination of proposals, and to manage the bidding process from initial receipt until bid submission.

Your main tasks will include managing the day-to-day bid activities including governance and bid production ensuring consistency across a multi-function team and achieving all milestones within the bid process. Effectively leading/monitoring/managing all bid plans from our partners bid teams to ensure the achievement of tasks and goals are aligned and being delivered against agreed milestones.

What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need an industry recognised qualification in Bids and Proposal Management e.g. APMP / Shipley, etc.

  • Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:
  • Experience in major and complex bid and proposal preparation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competent in all Microsoft packages and SharePoint
  • A technical background and familiarity with the Shipley Associates methodology
  • Project Management experience
  • Lastly, a Business Degree or equivalent would be desirable.

What else do I need to know?

  • You should hold or have the ability to obtain SC security clearance.
