My client are an established business offering manufacturing and warehousing services to third parties. The business is growing and are leaders in their chosen markets.

This purpose of the role is to oversee Production & Warehouse Operations. Ensuring that all parts in the production and warehouse processes come together to deliver the correct quality of final product/process.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Assist senior management in setting goals that promote company growth
  • Prepare budgets, schedules, and other organisational reports as needed
  • Plan and lead projects in line with agreed specifications, budgets, and/or time-scales.
  • Oversees daily activity of the team
  • Provides advice and guidance to other employees
  • Manages team workloads in order to meet goals and deadlines
  • Develops plans to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Improves existing systems and policies
  • Ensure customer requirements are met in a timely manner
  • Promote and enforce Health and Safety in the workplace
  • Manage stock and inventory
  • Oversee manufacturing functions
  • Work closely with other departments to promote efficiency within the production/ warehouse areas and other areas of the business if applicable
  • Identify improvement areas and plans and implements systems to boost company effectiveness
  • Identify and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Manage internal and external service suppliers and oversee planned maintenance and project work
  • Execute plans designed to meet company goals by changing policies and coaching employees
  • Ensure departments are adequately resourced

You will ensure the departments are compliant at all times adhering to Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) as well as other specific areas of compliance.

Successful applicants with have previous experience of managing production and warehouse operations with experience of managing teams. Ideally you will hold an operational management or project management qualification. Previous knowledge of creating standard operating procedures, KPI's and ensuring compliance are essential. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to manage people and influence within the senior management team. On offer is a competitive salary, car or car allowance and bonus.
