Purchasing Co-ordinator
Cheltenham
Salary: DOE
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Our client has an exciting Purchasing Co-ordinator role based in the Cheltenham area, working in the building/construction sector. This role is a great opportunity to work for an award-winning, forward-thinking company which is one of the largest in the area.
The Role
- To improve the stock profile and stock turn of all items
- Responsible for the purchasing of stock items
- Responsible for booking in items
- To help display stocked items in the correct manner
- Comparing product and prices
- Working directly with the company field reps to make decisions
- Working with suppliers to decrease our buying price where possible
- Obtaining and implementing new price lists from our suppliers
- Creating new stock items on the system
- Implementing price increases before they go live
- Ensuring all products carry the correct regulations
- Attending buying conferences
- Ensuring that we have stock availability for customers
- Maintaining high levels of customer service
The Candidate
- Knowledge of building materials
- IT Literate with systems when raising purchase orders and booking in
- Understanding of price books
- Previous experience within construction industry or similar
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills
