Procurement Project Coordinator

£25,000 salary plus excellent company benefits

Our client is a global engineering specialist focussed on making a positive impact to the world through their projects.

This role is to assist the Head of Procurement and Procurement Managers for IT with all aspects of procurement support and coordination including assisting with large scale procurement projects, managing supplier information and general related administration. The Procurement team is based in Solihull and undertakes a wide range of projects both in the UK and Globally.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance and support to senior procurement colleagues in the running of projects, both regional and global
  • Complete all steps of the required procurement process
  • Monitor the team’s future activity, deadlines and milestones
  • Maintain required procurement related documents, including the company filing system
  • Liaise with colleagues in other departments where required, for example Legal & Finance teams
  • Organise and attend key meetings
  • Prepare reports
  • Ensure required documents are prepared and approved efficiently

Required skills:

  • Experience of working in a similar role, ideally providing assistance and coordination within a corporate procurement setting
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Word and Excel
  • Experience of maintaining project plans, files and records beneficial
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail
  • Ability to be proactive and plan ahead
  • Good communication skills, ability to work alongside all levels of the team
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and organized
  • Professional and approachable attitude
