Purchasing Co-ordinator - Huddersfield - £19,000 - £22,000 - 12 Month Maternity Cover

Chase and Holland are proud to be working with a leading manufacturing business in the Huddersfield area of West Yorkshire while they look to temporarily add a Purchasing Co-ordinator to their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering all Buying/Purchasing duties during a 12-month maternity period.

Reporting into the Supply Chain manager the Purchasing Co-ordinator will play a key role within the supply chain and production teams to ensure the availability of materials for production.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan the raw materials required for contract production and ensuring it is organised in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Maintain cost price history within the product file to ensure price accuracy and traceability of raw materials
• Determine production requirements and liaising with internal departments to maximise service delivery
• Booking in purchase orders and invoices and allocating stock
• Establish and maintain key supplier relationships to enhance the company production and profile
• Internal liaison with departments and suppliers
• Data analysis and forward communications
• Deal with all administrative processes within the Purchasing department

Requirements:

Our client is looking for someone who has:

• Excellent IT skills - Use of Microsoft systems
• Prior knowledge of textile manufacturing would be advantageous
• Strong communication and interaction skills
• Good understanding of ERP/MRP systems is essential
