BP Chargemaster (BPCM) is the UK’s leading manufacturer and installer of Electric Vehicle Charging Points. Operating the largest Network for EV Drivers, we are set for even more growth in the coming years, and this is your chance to join our exciting team.

Your principle place of work will be BP Chargemaster’s head office. Currently this is in Capability Green, Luton, moving to a new purpose built premises in Milton Keynes in late 2019/early 2020.

With BP Chargemaster growth agenda, this role will have a key part to play in developing our business and growing new revenue, through relationships with partners and overseas sales ; this includes the major OEMs, dealerships and leasing providers for provision of services (such as home wall box chargers, or workplace charging equipment), and through operating, on behalf of Milton Keynes council, the Electric Vehicle Experience Centre (EVEC) - an integral part of which is partnership links with OEMs.

Key accountabilities

  • Accountability for safety, financial performance and strategic execution of all partnering and overseas sales activity within the BPCM business.
  • Lead and grow all International (excluding Germany) based sales of workplace charging equipment and all strategic partnership developments with OEMs/Leasing companies
  • Lead the teams which manage the EVEC and Dealer Support team
  • Working with the legal team, define and negotiate contracts with purchasers
  • Act as conduit to all BP teams supporting strategic accounts
  • Develop sales and KPI targets in line with annual performance plans
  • Define a clear programme of works for BPCM installation team for all international sales installations
  • Ensure health and safety risks of installations have been considered and mitigated appropriately
  • Manage and enhance strategic relationships as required

Essential capability and experience requirements

  • Deep senior sales or relationship management experience, preferably having worked in the OEM and/or Electric Vehicle sectors
  • Expertise in strong interface and relationship building with external parties and senior internal stakeholders and in generating win/win situation
  • High degree of flexibility to adapt to what is a fast changing environment and therefore to manage a degree of ambiguity
  • Experience of managing and growing a customer facing business
  • Experience of implementing change management processes and acting as a change agent
  • Deep understanding of business models and a strong commercial capability
  • Strong teamworking capability and ability to lead, motivate and energise staff bias for action and strong communication skills are essential

Desirable

  • Degree level or equivalent education
  • Multi-lingual skills preferred but not essential
