Contracts Manager - Roofing

Due to expansion, Kingscroft have been asked to recruit for an experienced Roofing Contracts Manager for a growing client of ours. Our client, a Roofing Contractor in the Walsall area have seen excellent growth in the last few years and are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to add to the team. Majority of works my client get involved in are large commercial sites and the contracts manager is responsible for managing works on site, from start to completion and handover. Health and Safety focusses, the ideal candidate will have experience working on large roofing sites and be used to travelling across the country. An experienced Roofing Contracts Manager will be rewarded with a competitive salary in the £40k region as well as a package surrounding that.

Duties of the role include:

• Ordering and organization of materials, plant and labour for site.
• Planning and coordinating works on site.
• Managing labour resource- ensuring efficiency.
• Attending progress meetings with other senior management/client.
• Addressing client issues/queries
• Ensuring clients are happy during site handover.
• Ensuring sites are completed on budget, to standard and on time.
• Preparing risk and method statements and ensuring that health and safety standards are maintained to the highest standards.
• Man management on site.

The Ideal candidate will have:

• Experience and knowledge of roofing and cladding.
• The ability to man management and oversee works on site, ensuring quality is being met.
• Management experience and qualifications - SMSTS, SSSTS, NVQs etc.
• IT literate for report writing.
• Well organised and able to work independently and on own initiative.
• Great attention to detail.
• Excellent problem solving skills, be efficient and solve problems that arise quickly.
• Full UK Driving License.

The role involves working both in an office and on sites across the UK. So candidates must be aware that this is not just an office based role.
