My client is a SME FMCG manufacturer based in Northumberland, enjoying a period of rapid, sustained growth and performance. Reporting to the Operations Manager, my client seeks a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team.

The Supply Chain Coordinator will be primarily responsible for the development of three main areas: production planning, stock control & management and procurement.

Main responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Effective multi-line production planning in an FMCG environment including capacity planning, SOPs, POPs, BOMs
  • Procurement of materials and packaging
  • Inventory control and finished goods dispatch.
  • Negotiations and supplier management
  • Document control and management
  • Effective use and management of site MRP system
  • Working closely with sales team to ensure customers’ demands are met
  • Ensure contract reviews are completed within agreed timescales
  • Ensure that customers receive the highest quality goods and expectations are exceeded

To be considered for the role, it is essential that you possess experience of all three of the core areas off the role i.e. stock/inventory management & control, purchasing and production planning. Other selection criteria includes:

  • Ideally educated to HNC level
  • Ideally experience gained in a high volume manufacturing environment, food experience would be beneficial
  • Demonstrable experience and expertise with MRP/ERP systems
  • Excellent knowledge and expertise with BOMs
  • First-rate negotiation skills
  • Supplier management expertise
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Works effectively with internal stakeholders and across departments
