Graduate Purchasing Administrator
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This new role will support the efficient and effective functioning of a busy Purchasing team with the opportunity to have responsibility for their own spend areas. This role would suit a candidate who is looking to develop their career within Purchasing, you will be confident, assertive with excellent communication skills and a "can do" attitude. Keen to work in a fast paced environment.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsibility for the effective Purchasing of low end spend areas
- Raise and Control Purchase orders for indirect areas
- Develop improved Purchasing processes
- Act as the interface with other stakeholder departments especially Technical and Marketing
- Provide excellent customer service to suppliers & stakeholders, resolving enquiries in a helpful & efficient manner
- Co-ordinate packaging and raw material trials
- Manage the Non Conformance process
- Generate and Maintain department and category specific reports
- Data capture for Category Management (ie researching and collate market information)
- Support the team on projects and tenders
- Maintain data on the MRP system
- Act as the interface with other stakeholder departments especially Technical and Marketing
- Co-ordinate packaging and raw material trials
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Educated to degree standard or equivalent
- Good analytical, logical, & numerical ability
- Charisma, Energy & Drive, keen to develop a career within Purchasing
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the business
- Must use their own initiative and able to prioritise own workload
- Customer service experience
- Good level of Microsoft Office - Advanced Excel skills.
