The Commercial division at the SF Group are now recruiting for a Buyer within a busy, fast paced team. The Buyer will join a prestigious and well known company based within the Hinckley area. Our client is expanding and is looking for hard working Individuals to join their ever growing team.
As a Buyer your duties will include the following tasks:
- Independently manage own category base with the view of driving best value.
- Drive and initiate cost reduction initiatives in conjunction with category plans through regular market testing/ tendering projects.
- Procurement Manager with the administration of new enquires to ensure all information received in a timely manner and provide feedback where required.

- Produce, present & implement category plans for strategic review
- Drive and initiate cost reduction initiatives through regular market testing/ tender projects.
- Produce, present & implement category plans for strategic review
- Work with the Supply Chain Manager to identify problem Suppliers, devise and implement improvement plans with clear root cause and corrective action analysis.
- Monitor and maintain enquiry log, savings trackers, specification data base and Procurement white board.
The selected Buyer will need to demonstrate the following:
- Good negotiating skills
- Maintain a good working relationship with suppliers and internal staff
- Excellent Administration and IT skills
- Have a can do approach to their work load at all times
- The ability to fit in and work well within a team.
- Be able to work towards tight deadlines set by the business
In return the successful Buyer will be given a salary of £28,000 - £30,000 as well as the following benefits:
• 23 days holiday per year plus bank holidays.
