Are you a Junior Buyer with exposure to the automotive sector? How would you like to have responsibility for your own portfolio of commodities with a spend value of circa £8M? If so, this role could be perfect for you.

Working for a business in the Stourbridge area, you will be responsible for ensuring this organisation's suppler base meets requirements and you will also look at market trends for your commodities to see how this will affect the supplier base. You will review spend and ensure and ensure you are achieving value for money whilst maintaining the product's quality.

Key responsibilities will include procuring of materials and parts for manufacture, sourcing projects, negotiating with suppliers, benchmarking and identifying opportunities for cost savings.

In order to carry out this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience in a purchasing function within the automotive industry
• Sourcing experience
• Evidence of achieving cost savings
• Negotiation experience
• Strong communication skills - written and verbal
• An excellent problem solver

In return, you will receive a salary of circa £25,000- £30,000 plus benefits, dependent upon experience.
