Contracts Manager
Due to continuous growth and expansion, our market leading client in the civil engineering industry is looking to add an experienced and forward thinking Contracts Manager to their busy team. This position would be ideal for anyone with experience managing contracts within the rail industry.

Salary: £50,000 - 55,000 + profit related bonus
Location: Chesterfield
Hours: Full-Time

Job Purpose:-

*Reporting to the Board, this is a senior management position with opportunity for the right person to reach Director Level.

Duties and Responsibilities:-

*Manage the delivery of all geotechnical contracts and be responsible for the day to day running of operations of the business.
*Managing and driving improvements in safety, efficiency and profitability.
*Oversee, develop and challenge a growing team of 6 Project Managers - they are looking for a great people manager.
*Co-ordinate with all departments within the company, Commercial, Estimating, Accounts, Warehouse, Structures and so on.
*Liaise and negotiate with clients and suppliers.
*Feedback the performance of active contracts to the board.
*Based in Chesterfield with visits to satellite offices and sites around the UK.

The ideal candidate will have/be:-

*Degree level or equivalent.
*An open mind - Our client does not expect a candidate who knows all there is to know about what they do but want a candidate who is keen to learn and grow with the business.
*A practical knowledge of contract management - within construction.
*Management role, including management of sub-contractors and client interface.
*SHEQ management, working under NEC/JCT Forms of Contract and programming experience is essential.
*An eagerness for innovation - they are looking for someone who will instrumental in the continuous improvement of the business.
