Supply Chain Supervisor / £30,000 - £35,000 / Bolton

Your new role
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their Supply Chain career to the next level. The role will involve working closely with internal and external customers to create and maintain a production plan in line with Customer requirements and forecasts, ensuring availability of parts and packaging to meet the plan. The key responsibilities of the role will be-
- Ensuring customer satisfaction via daily contact regarding delivery, quality, design, electronic data interchange (EDI) and new product introduction (NPI)
- Receive and analyse daily customer shipping requirements including logistics, packaging, and label specifications.
- Maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) taking into consideration all design changes and timings and to also coordinate part and product phase-outs to minimise stock obsolescence.
- Assist in co-ordinating trial builds and NPI, liaising with external customers in regards to their requirements and to also facilitate advanced product quality planning (APQP) projects for new pass through implementation.
- Negotiation of costs with suppliers in respect of packaging, transportation and warehousing
- Optimise inventory levels to avoid stock-out with lowest impact on cashflow; maintain inventory accuracy
What you'll need to succeed
- Up to date deep knowledge of planning processes using MRP/ERP software
- Exposure to Supply Chain processes such purchasing, parts control, logistics and warehousing would be a significant advantage
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and process numerical data
- Effective communication and influencing skills from shop floor to management
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise own workload in order to achieve deadlines
- Excellent PC skills including strong competence within Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience in working with a multinational organisation would be an advantage
