MMP Consultancy are seeking a qualified and experienced Contracts Manager (Planned and Investment) for a permanent opportunity. Based in South London.

Responsible for the delivery of planned and cyclical work programmes as well as including major improvement projects. You will run the contracts to a high standard, ensuring budgetary value throughout. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a high-level cost-effective investment service. You will be responsible for Health and Safety and budget management as it relates to the projects you manage.

Key Duties:

* Provide expert Contract Management skills across all contracts and projects, working with external Contractors and Consultants, including but not exclusively, internal stakeholders and customers.
* Working with the procurement team and the Investment Manager, to procure contractors/consultants ensuring that tender and contractual documents contain all details as required as per regulations.
* Make sure that requirements for deliverables, materials and workmanship are incorporated into all specifications and delivering robust procurement plans.
* Provide formal briefs, specifications, consultation, engagement and communication plans.
* Understand the provisions of the Construction Design Management Regulations and ensure that the external CDM-Coordinator is appointed, providing pre-construction information where requested by the CDM Co-Ordinator with an absolute understanding the principles of Decent Homes standards.
* Whilst ensuring that buildings and project works conform to the latest building regulations and technical standards, take particulars on site with all directly managed by you, in relation to building performance and condition, writing specifications, obtain estimates and costs advice prior to going to tender.
* Provide practical advice in order to solve technical problems, including evaluating materials and components that offer our residents and buildings good performance, and value for money, taking into account lifecycle returns. Working within fixed budgets and tight timescales.
* Organise and be the key facilitator of regular progress meetings with contractor and/or consultants during project works. Ensuring that KPI's, budget and spend, risk management and barriers to delivery are regularly reviewed to ensure a timely delivery of each project. Escalating to the Stock Investment Manager, any concerns, delays monetary forecasts under and overspends.
* Run a stakeholder (tenants, leaseholders, internal departments and local authorities) framework that encourages all stakeholders to have a menaingful input into the planning process of works and subsequent implementation.

Education / Skills: Relevant Qualification
Degree Qualified preferred but not essential

Salary: £45,000 to £52,000 per annum (Depending on experience)
