Time Appointments are proud to be working on behalf of an impressive client to recruit for an experienced Purchasing Coordinator. The successful applicant will identify and develop purchasing strategies globally ensuring process improvement and cost reduction initiatives are met.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure quality and stock turn targets are achieved
  • Negotiate contracts both remotely and in person when required
  • Build and maintain excellent internal and external relationships
  • Identify and develop purchasing strategies globally and monitor its performance
  • Manage the Purchase Order database and handle any discrepancies

To be considered for this role you must have 4 year plus procurement/purchasing experience ideally from a manufacturing environment. You will be a strong negotiator, highly computer literate (confident on Microsoft Office and Excel) with a keen eye for detail. If you are educated to Degree/HND level in Engineering or Business Studies (or equivalent) this is desirable, alongside being a member or working towards a CIPS qualification.
