Your new role
Your new role sits within the planning function providing strategic, operational and day-to-day support ensuring that customer service levels and inventory targets are achieved in line with business objectives. Manage the inventory levels and ordering process whilst adding value to the supplier relationship and take corrective actions against purchase order and invoice discrepancies in line with demand. You will effectively analyse demand and forecast to accurately record within the planning software, as well as liaise with internal teams. You will be preparing documentation for aspects of the production process and communicating reports and procurement schedules to the rest of the business. Make stock adjustments according to the strategy defined by the Head of Planning to optimise inventory to achieve financial targets and customer service objectives. Provide regular and effective supplier performance reviews as well as understand and update KPIs to demonstrate supply chain performance.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will need to have previous experience of working within a planning environment. You will be a proficient user of Microsoft Excel and Outlook and be able to perform as part of a team and demonstrate initiative where required. A proven ability to negotiate with and influence peers and suppliers is essential to this role. Strong analytical skills are required as well as root cause analysis to ensure a permanent fix. Proven ability to successfully manage a multitude of high priority tasks simultaneously. Have the ability to work under pressure, maintaining accuracy and keeping to deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including proven verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to make effective decisions in line with business objectives.
