Purchasing Assistant -RomseySO51 - £22,000

As a Purchasing Assistant, you will support in maintaining an efficient purchasing and inventory control department, fully meeting the needs of customers at all times.

Duties for the Purchasing Assistant:

• Meeting customer demands
• Identifying usage figures/sales demands in order to have the correct products available to supply
• Proactively look at the most economic ways for sourcing products
• Describe and code stock correctly on the system
• Resolve stock related queries and discrepancies
• Expiry date management
• Product management

Candidate Competencies:

• Computer efficient in the use of Excel and Word
• Attention to Detail - relating to product availability, best process and expiry dates
• Strong communication skills both internally and externally
• Flexible in approach to time management and multi-tasking

As a Purchasing Assistant, you will be required to work Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. The salary is offering a basic of £22,000 with the opportunity to participate in a performance related bonus worth up to £5,000 per year.
