Transport Manager, £35k - £40k

Position: Transport Manager
Location: Aylesbury (HP18)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum + bonus
Hours: Monday - Friday (07:00 - 17:00)

The Opportunity

A leading environmental services organisation based in Buckinghamshire are seeking to recruit an outstanding and fully-qualified Transport Manager.

The successful Transport Manager must be experienced, enthusiastic and willing to hit the ground running - ideally with a HGV licence and a CPC.

As Transport Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Booking and arranging regular PMIs and MOTs, keeping both manual and digital records.
• Managing all HGV drivers and transport controllers - ensuring that all KPIs are met.
• Allocating vehicle routes to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Managing and recording maintenance, repairs and fuel costs as economically as possible.
• Provide on-going training and presentations to your team on a regular basis.
• Analysing the performance of each driver and using this information to ensure continual improvement of performance.

Requirements

• Transport Management Experience
• A HGV licence and CPC is preferable
• Experience of excelling in a similar industry, e.g. Waste, Environmental, Recycling
• Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage a team
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
