Thorne and Wait are an award winning recruitment agency based in Bicester are recruiting for an Assistant Transport Manager to join our client based outside Aylesbury on a Permanent basis.
Duties in brief include:
Provide cover for Transport Co-ordinator on Fridays
Provide cover for Transport Manager during leave periods.
Provide cover for Transport Department break periods.
Update PMI Schedule following inspection and maintenance works.
Assist Transport Manager with booking PMIs and MOTs.
Day to day driver contact and guidance via telephone.
Updating internal plant maintenance schedule.
Maintaining external plant maintenance schedule and co-ordinating external
Filing purchase invoices, updating vehicle files
Other general administration e.g. Policy updates, driver tacho infringement tables.
Ordering parts for plant and vehicle maintenance complying with PO procedures
