Our client, a major player in the Global Freight Forwarding market is looking for an Air Freight Exports Clerk to be based in their Leeds location. This role is a Part Time 2 days a week opportunity ideally Monday and Tuesday although we are flexible with regards to these days.

The role would include the below duties: -

* Daily completion of post flights
* Looking after query emails looking for missed flights / updates after consignments have left / copy pre alerts / customers requesting copy entries / S8's etc.
* Resolving any internal complaints / operational irregularities
* Complete portal uploads as required by some of our customers (for example up loading invoices to a customer's portal to ensure payment is made)
* Arrange for export files to be filed accordingly
* As and when required completion of ATR's / EUR1's and letters of credits
* Follow up with all destinations on DAP/DDP files to ensure all in order and processed quickly and efficiently at destination and delivered in a timely fashion. Advising the customers where we have issues or there is a potential delay in the final mile delivery.
* Completion of customer transit reports as and when issued, and responding to these by requested timelines etc...
* Complete stationery orders and PO's for the office as and when required.
* As and when required due to holiday/absences/sickness assist operations in keying shipments into the database
* Ensure that we are filing into EDM accordingly and saving the necessary information chains to this for future reference as and when required.
* Ensure KPI's where possible are being completed in a timely fashion especially on CLS / CFM screens and potential to look at issues for the station and how to correct these to ensure compliance at a greater level.
* Time permitting to call all customers for updates and enquiring if everything is o.k. or something wrong and if they wish to see a representative from the office?
* Support our apprentice with their progress / development as and when required.
* As and when required the office team leader / station manager may require additional duties to be taken on outside of the above but will be discussed accordingly at the time of requirement.

In order to apply for this role, you will have air freight exports experience gained from a freight forwarder there will be a need for contacting airlines and the gateway so we need someone that understand the air freight terminology and processes.

Salary pro rata £18,000 - £25,000 dependent upon level of experience
