Purchasing Administrator

The company is now looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join them at their headquarters in Blisworth, Northampton and support the Purchasing Team’s operations.

This is the ideal role for an administrator with experience of delivering work in-line with financial compliance practices to develop their career into the purchasing space with our leading recycling and resource recovery organisation.

As a Purchasing Administrator, you will be tasked with assisting with the buying of goods and services for the company, focusing on administrative and support tasks.

You’ll undertake a range of support tasks such as filing, shredding and document control as well as playing a key role in the implementation of standardisation processes that support purchasing and procurement activities.

Additionally, you will be involved in:

- Tender administration
- Supplier contact and approval processes
- Resolving purchasing queries
- Bulk orders
- Purchase order processes
- Record keeping and scheduling

- Experience of undertaking complex and demanding administrative work
- Demonstrable experience of delivering activities in line with financial compliance requirements
- To be fully IT literate with experience of using Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills
- At a minimum, GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade B / 5 (or equivalent)

Communicative, passionate and accurate, as a Purchasing Administrator, you will also have a close attention to detail, the ability to manage your own workload and excellent time management skills. A team player mentality will be key, as will the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage priorities.

Experience of purchasing administration would be beneficial to your application, as would a Degree (or equivalent) at 2:1 level.
