Warehouse Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Manager to work for an expanding digital communications company in Warrington.

About the Warehouse Manager Job:

You will contribute to the growth and development of the business. As the Warehouse Manager you will manage and be responsible for the day to day running of the Warehouse, Purchasing and Logistics necessary to support Engineering, Operational, Financial and Customer requirements.

Your daily duties and responsibilities will be to:

  • Liaison with all departments to keep fully informed of current and forthcoming work
  • Monitor and ensure adequate stock levels are available
  • Dissemination of information to ensure that direct report staff are aware of contractual requirements.
  • Ensure that all warehouse staff are trained to the necessary level to meet current and projected contracts.
  • Interface between Operational departments and Engineers (including subcontractors) to ensure provision of equipment to enable timely and cost-effective performance of contractual and operational obligations in accordance with customer needs.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of the warehouse including security.
  • Ensure warehouse capacity is sufficient for operational needs
  • Manage and develop direct reporting staff
  • Ensure activities meet and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
  • Preparation and presentation of stock reports to customers and members of the team as necessary.
  • Ensure monthly stock figure is supplied each month
  • Ensure up to date on advances and changes in technology and products relevant to the industry

Essential Attributes for the Warehouse Manager

  • Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to liaise between internal and external customers.
  • Health and Safety knowledge
  • Experience within a similar role
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate across all levels
  • FLT licence is desirable. Training for the right candidate will be given
  • Full UK driving licence
