Buyer - Leicester - £25,000 - £31,000

Chase and Holland are looking to speak to those of you out there with buying experience and also practical knowledge of an MRP system. We have a Leicester based business who are keen to recruit an experienced buyer and this role is a permanent, full time position.

Current or previous use of an MRP system is essential so please do not apply if you don’t have this knowledge.

Buyer responsibilities:

• Assisting in the development and implementation of an effective purchasing strategy
• Sourcing new parts and suppliers, ensuring the best cost, quality, service and conditions of purchase are obtained
• Negotiating with suppliers for cost reductions and reviewing purchasing spend in line with KPI’s
• Expediting material both from domestic and international suppliers and organising container shipments

Key requirements:

• As already mentioned, the role needs someone with current or previous knowledge of an MRP system
• You will be an experienced Buyer who is capable and comfortable working in a stand-alone role
• Great communication skills and the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders
