Transport Manager

Salary: £29,120 to £31,375 OTE

Contracted Hours40 Monday to Friday flexing to get the best out of your team

CLF Distribution are now recruiting an experienced Transport Manager to support our growing business in Nursling, Southampton. We supply independent retailers and health conscious consumers with natural products from several hundred healthy brands. The company has a strong ethos of team work, supporting our staff and sharing in the company profits through a bonus scheme paid monthly. The role includes the management of C1 drivers and the fleet of 15 vans which operate 7 days per week.

• Managing a team of drivers both employed and sub contracted

• Scheduling van routes and liaising with customers to meet their needs

• Updating of all records including tacho monitoring

• Running reports and extracting driver data

• Standing in to help out with driving duties where necessary

• Must have experience in transport and fleet management

• Should be C1 and CPC qualified although training can be provided to the right candidate

• Computer literate and organised

• The ability to work under pressure and to meet customer deadlines

• Plenty of initiative and the ability to work both alone and liaising with a team

• Confident and focussed on the phone
