Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Category Manager who is available at short notice to join a reputable organisation in Barnsley on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract with a strong possibility of the role being made permanent.

Role:

  • Lead on a number of procurement exercises in order to deliver cost savings
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver aims of the organisation and to promote the benefits of a category management approach
  • Create, implement and manage  category spend helping achieve value for money
  • Develop and implement procurement plans and strategies
  • Collate and analyse management information
  • Contract management ensuring KPI’s and customer requirements are met

Person

  • CIPS qualification or working towards this is desirable
  • Public Sector procurement experience is essential
