Dealer Finance Operations Manager

PURPOSE SUMMARY:

  1. To establish themselves as the primary contact for the Dealer in all aspects of New and Used vehicles to be placed on funding plans

  2. To ensure the correct distribution of workload and monitor effective performance within the team.

  3. To be the main point of contact ensuring that the correct payment reconciliations and reports are produced in a timely manner.

  4. Liaise with Retailers and Brands in respect of Limit re-alignment where required.

  5. Complete regular reconciliation reports with Finance to ensure all outstanding's are aligned

  6. To manage all databases for new and used units and ensure that all manual databases agree. Production of management information, statistics and analysis when required.

  7. To be responsible for terminated dealers, ensuring that all units, balances and reconciliations are completed in accordance with protocol.

  8. To produce monthly and budgeted reports for HQ and Dealer Finance Director in a timely manner.

  9. To be the primary contact for all software suppliers, with remit for the continual update, testing and post installation for all Retailers and staff.

  10. To adhere to the FCA regulations and requirements by not entering into any general insurance related activities.

  11. Such other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require.

REPORTING

Reports to: Dealer Finance Director Number of Reports: 4

DIMENSIONS / BUDGETS

Responsible for all Retailers in the network with regards to funding limits and operations.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS

Preferably educated to degree level with strong understanding of IT systems. Highly numerate, able to utilise Excel and Word packages to macro level. Ability to self-motivate and educate on new packages/software.

The ability to organise and prioritise is required, together with the management skills to run a busy department in an efficient and effective manner. Must be able to communicate at all levels within the network. Time management skills are essential to ensure that all key deadlines are observed.
