Freight Forwarding Operations Agent

Permanent Vacancy for a freight forwarding clerk, Velocity Recruitment are looking for an experienced Freight Forwarding Clerk for our client in North Shields, to work in a small but very busy transport and logistics office. The candidate will be expected to have experience in a similar role including work in logistics and experience with Microsoft office software.

The candidate will be expected:

• To establish working relationships with existing clients.
• To obtain quotes for all moves and projects, many bespoke.
• To develop relationships with suppliers and effectively manage supplier movements.
• To manage and oversee collections and deliveries on a daily basis.
• To manage escalations and provide resolutions to the client.
• To book collections/deliveries on to the company internal software.
