Operations Manager

A Regional Main Contractor are looking to recruit an operations manager to oversee the running of the business. They are seeking an experienced man manger who has excellent client relationship skills who can eventually take over the Managing Directors position.

About the Client:
A leading Main Contractor who have been established for more than 50 years. They operate in the commercial and public sector. The business has grown through organic growth with an impressive client list.

About the Role:
Helping in the running of the business and looking after key clients in the commercial and public sector
Overseeing a directly employed team of circa 100 staff
They carry out a mixture of larger projects, small works and maintenance contracts
To provide effective management to ensure that the company achieves its current and future objectives
To introduce new Clients to the company and build long term relationships with them
Liaise with accounts to ensure that all invoices are issued correctly and are paid to terms
Work closely with the maintenance manager to ensure that all small works are programmed in and carried out to requirements
Work closely with the H&S department
Work closely with the current directors to implement the succession plan

About the Candidate:
Proven track record within the construction industry
Strong man management skills
Excellent client facing skills and able to win new clients
An eye for detail
Able to estimate and project manage when necessary
Must have previous refurbishment experience
Ambitious and looking to be in a senior director position
Previous experience running a multimillion-pound contractor would be beneficial
