FREIGHT SALES EXECUTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for winning new business and selling worldwide multimodal freight services to potential clients and existing customers.

  • You'll own the sales process from lead generation to closing the sale
  • You will build strong relationships with potential & existing customers
  • You will manage your own diary and develop your own portfolio of opportunities
  • You will make business to business telephone sales
  • You'll arrange meetings for face to face presentations and negotiations
  • You will be achieving new business sales targets by negotiating sales (price, costs, delivery and specifications) with buyers to close the sale
  • Attending weekly sales meetings

From the General Manager: "We'd like the selected candidate to make inroads into Europe as we already have many EU customers for our road service. We'd also expect them to begin to look further afield, towards USA, India and China, where we are beginning to build a supplier base. The successful candidate will concentrate on air & sea sales but will also be expected to sell our express road service to a lesser degree."

FREIGHT SALES EXECUTIVE PACKAGE DETAILS

  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Salary: £30,000-40,000 Depending on experience + uncapped sales commission
  • Hours: 8.30-17.00 40 hours per week
  • Holiday: 20 days + 8 bank holidays per year
  • Extras: Company pension, Retail discounts scheme, Yearly attendance bonus, Car allowance for sales visits
  • Location: Leyland
