The key responsibilities for the LOGISTICS - Business Development Manager - Contract Logistics will be:

Targeting new business

Building close and effective working relationships with a network of contacts within the Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial and/or Manufacturing industry verticals

  • Production Logistics
  • Fulfilment Logistics
  • Service & Aftermarket Logistics
  • E-Commerce Logistics Solutions
  • Value Added Services

Developing and implementing market sector development plans throughout the UK

Identifying and qualifying customer opportunities for new Warehousing solutions.

Exceeding their personal new business target / budget.

Developing and broadening relationship with existing customers while identifying and qualifying opportunities

Maximising sales penetration within each customer by selling the complete range

Midlands based: Birmingham, Leicester, Nottingham, Coventry, Regionally (St. Albans, Milton Keynes etc.)

Profile

The successful Business Development Manager - Contract Logistics will be results driven and have the industry knowledge to understand customer problems and create solutions with the aid of the sales team.

The Business Development Manager will:

Minimum of 4 years of selling UK Contract Logistics and warehousing solutions experience

Demonstrate experience of building a £20m+ sales pipeline

Demonstrate knowledge of production logistics, reverse logistics, fulfilment logistics and service & aftermarket logistics.

Demonstrate sales experience in warehousing, logistics outsourcing and the management of complex supply chains

Industry knowledge of building relationships Automotive, Aviation or Manufacturing would be beneficial (not essential)

Be someone who wants to grow their business and maintain an entrepreneurial streak.

Proven track record in new business development (must have a hunter mentality)

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Willingness to undertake travel.

An open and likeable personality with honesty and integrity

Autonomous approach with a positive 'can do' attitude.

Job Offer

c.£50,000 - 80,000 + Bonus, Car, Laptop, Mobile & health care
