Buyer

Our client, a successful engineering manufacturer based in Middleton, Manchester, is seeking a Buyer to join the procurement team. This role is a fantastic opportunity to join an established business to further a career in procurement.

Maybe you are a Procurement Co-ordinator studying for your Advanced CIPS or a Junior Buyer looking for that next career move?

The role requires solid experience in Procurement/Supply Chain management, use of MRP, ERP and quality management systems, with experience in a manufacturing, engineering or similar background.

You shall be responsible for obtaining quotes, raising purchase orders, maintenance of systems and MI, account management of suppliers, negotiating price agreements, contracts and SLAs and tasked with ensuring consistency of supply, competitive pricing and cost improvement objectives.

You will hold a recognised CIPS qualification and possess sound financial acumen. You shall be a strong influencer, with impeccable communication and organisation skills.
