My client in Whitchurch has a fantastic opportunity for an Export Administrator to join their successful, friendly, family owned business on a temp-perm basis.
It is a full-time position, Monday-Thursday 9.00-17.00 Friday 9.00-16.00, paying £17,500 per annum.
The job will involve liaising with overseas customers and shipping agents and preparing documentation for export orders. Experience of working with imports/exports would therefore be a distinct advantage, as would knowledge of IATA regulations.
Duties
- Process customer orders and input details onto system (Sage Line 50).
- Ensure customer orders are processed correctly, despatched on time and that customers are notified of any delays/issues.
- Prepare export documentation for overseas shipments.
- Prepare hazardous goods documentation for air and sea freight.
- Liaise with shipping agents to facilitate overseas shipments.
- Obtain quotes/timescales for shipping and advise customers accordingly.
- Answer telephone take customer enquiries/orders.
- Reply to customer Email enquiries, or forward to relevant staff where appropriate.
- Liaise with production to ensure orders are dispatched on time.
- When goods arrive, deliver purchase orders into stock system.
- Liaise with production department to ensure accurate information is passed between the office and works in a timely manner.
Required
- Experience of working within an admin-based office environment.
- Experience of preparing export documentation, for air and sea freight shipments is preferred.
- Knowledge of IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations or a current IATA dangerous goods certificate would be an advantage.
- Confident telephone manner.
- Ability to liaise directly with both customers and suppliers.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience of using Sage Line 50 or similar order processing system.
- Attention to detail.
- Good standard of numeracy.
- Work efficiently as part of a small team.
