My exciting, growing company based in Minchinhampton is currently recruiting for a Buyer to join their team on a 12-24-month Maternity contract, however it is likely to go permanent.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidate with previous experience within buying/procurement and looking to join an expanding company!

Responsibilities/Duties;

-Update and Maintain MRP system with pricing, lead-times and supplier details.

-Raising of Requisitions and Purchase Orders, ensuring adherence to process.

-Obtain up to date pricing/ Lead-time information from Suppliers when required

-Use MRP to forecast usage and adapt purchasing as required.

-Support supplier negotiations for new product, pricing increases, supply issues and expedites.

-Supporting Engineering with new quote opportunities

-Chasing suppliers for Order acknowledgements and Overdue orders

Candidate Attributes;

-Previous Buying experience is essential

-IT Skills to include Outlook, Excel and Word

-Excellent communication both verbally and in writing

-The ability to prioritise effectively and work at pace,

-Able to demonstrate an attention to detail

-With good numerical, planning and problem-solving skills

-Excel knowledge, ability to do Pivot Tables & V-Lookups would be desirable

-Due to the location of the client own transport is required

Hours- Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm

Salary- Up to £25,000
