Job Title: Senior Contracts Manager

Location: Kings Lynn, Norfolk

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 (depending on experience)

Summary of Position:

We have a brilliant opportunity for a Senior Contracts Manager to join our Client, a progressive office design and fit out business. The Senior Contracts Manager will be responsible to coordinate the site installation of materials and labour to meet project installation dates and to deliver projects safety whilst keeping customers updated on project progress.

The Contracts Manager will need to ensure the contract is completed to the company’s high standard and in line with Health & Safety legislation. As well as ensuring profitability through the efficient, well planned and organised management of the contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality management - meeting ISO 9001 requirements, site quality control & zero snag policy
  • H&S management - working with 3rd party consultant, management of the H&S file, site surveillance & monitoring & maintaining a training strategy in conjunction with 3rd party consultant
  • Project planning & scheduling - daily, weekly, and big picture project planning resource pooling & utilising project planning software to stay on track of all projects at all times.
  • Pre-Con / Contracts team management - provide management & direction for the Pre-Con Estimator, Pre-Con Technical Designer, Site Manager - this includes performance management of underperforming staff if necessary and running quarterly 1-2-1’s to ensure all staff are held accountable to the key metrics.
  • Client liaison - face to face visits, site meetings & minutes & daily correspondence
  • Project cost control - RT management, cost card management & variations

Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s):

  • Ensure all projects hit the PC / Due date as agreed at the project handover meetings
  • Any client requested changes to job schedules / programmes - MUST be communicated on our financial system within 24 hours

Skills, Experience & Candidate Attributes:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety
  • Great IT skills, standard MS Office packages, including good understanding of excel and MS project (planning software)
  • Financial experience of managing portfolios
  • Customer Care / Satisfaction Skills in a client facing environment
  • Have excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Good understanding of building design
  • Ability to travel when required
  • Good understanding of commercial management of building works projects
  • Good numerical skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Flexible hours as required
