To ensure the distribution centre runs smoothly and efficiently. Reporting to the Logistics Director you will be responsible for strategically managing the warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all orders are despatched accurately and within agreed service levels
  • Manage goods in process such that stock is efficiently booked in and put away in suitable locations
  • Ensure that picking bins are replenished regularly in order to maximise efficiency of picking process
  • Carry out perpetual stock taking process
  • Manage warehouse operatives and look to maximise productivity
  • Reconfigure picking bin setup bi-annually to ensure efficient use of bins and provide locations for new Maru seasonal stock
  • Manage stock rotation process especially where packaging/product is being refreshed
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
  • Setup layout, ensure efficient space utilisation and plan future capacity requirements
  • Initiate, coordinate and implement optimal operational policies and procedures
  • Maintain standards of health and safety and security
  • Coordinate the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary
  • Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
  • Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
  • Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment
  • Ad-hoc tasks outside of the general scope of work

Experience Required:

  • Manager experience in warehouse environment. Ideally with B2B and e-comm experience
  • Knowledge of forklifts operation and maintenance
  • Customer focused - appreciates how warehouse operation impacts customer experience and drives team to focus on providing best service to customers
