Operations Manager

Are you an experienced Operations Manager with proven experience within batch production and looking for a new challenge for an aerospace supplier in Fareham paying up to £65000 per year?

This is a newly created position, to report into the GM and supporting a workforce of 150 across machining, assembly, testing and welding; leading operational functions including purchasing and converting orders to shipments in an environment of continuous improvement and team work.

The company have sites globally, yet this site is 1 to 2 in the UK and can offer you huge autonomy, is fully embracing CI site wide and is a site consistently exceeding forecasts.

Ultimately you'll be accountable for on time delivery and high quality performance, continuously improving on the good work already happening and addressing any areas that need improving.

As an operations manager you'll effectively oversee procurement, shipments, control inventory and you'll lead projects in process improvements and cost reduction, always ensuring H&S compliance. Working with the GM to agree year on year targets and goals for the site moving forwards.

As an operations manager you'll work closely with all function heads, shipments/logistics, procurement, project engineering, H&S, Sales and production improving upon the sites great development already.

What do I need?

• Significant experience at Operations Management level
• Strong manufacturing experience within a batch production environment
• Ideally holding a form of mechanical engineering, i.e degree, HND or HNC.
• Strong and proven leader of people
• Hugely driven and resilient
• Able to work well with data
