Leading US Real Estate Company are seeking a high calibre Facilities Management Procurement Specialist to join its Headquarters in Washington DC and manage the Procurement activities for its properties across the country. The company has 80,000 properties nationwide and are renowned for providing a collaborative environment to work alongside the best and brightest in the industry.

As part of a team of 3, you will be directly managing a $25m spend across the Facilities Category which can include Hard Services such as Security, Plumbing, Air Conditioning and Fire Safety, as well as the Soft Services which can cover Cleaning, Catering and Waste Management. You will be managing the bidding process and contracts for all your assigned Facilities Management subcategories, and will be regularly working with the Facilities Maintenance & Operations Directors in carrying the Procurement Strategy forward.

As a Procurement Specialist within Facilities Management, you will:

  • Negotiate with and manage vendors to maximize performance and reach cost savings targets
  • Work with internal stakeholders in carrying the Facilities Management and Overall Procurement strategy forward
  • Analyze annual spend data and develop Strategic sourcing strategies
  • Develop and nurture new relationships with suppliers in which managing the bid process

To be a successful Procurement Specialist within Facilities Management, you must have:

  • Strong procurement and strategic sourcing background within Facilities Management, Hard & Soft Services
  • Experience within contract management and vendor management
  • Stakeholder management skills, in which you have collaborated with partners across different levels
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably a Master's within Supply Chain Management or any relevant discipline
